A beautiful day in the bay as viewed from the garden at Mako. Mako Lodge has a Non Smoking Policy for all its accommodation. Minimum 2 nights booking. Visa, Mastercard and cash only accepted. Mako regrets the Lodge is not suitable for animals or children under the age of 11. Mako Lodge has some of the best views of the Bay of Islands as seen from our accommodation, garden and decks. We can offer you a tranquil experience with great walks nearby and abundant bird life in our garden yet we are only a five minute drive from Paihia and all its activities. Mako Lodge offers the Bayview Suite and Kingfisher room at ground level. All rooms have sea views, bathrooms with large showers, refrigerators, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryers, electric blankets, fans, electric radiators, table and chairs, TV/VCR and use of video library. Guests have use of our spa pool which overlooks the Bay and use of complimentary beach umbrellas, beach towels, iron and ironing board. Laundry facilities available on request at a nominal charge. All prices quoted include GST and a complimentary generous continental breakfast. BAYVIEW SUITE - $180 - $195 NZ The Bayview has a King Size Bed which can convert to a twin. It offers a large separate bathroom with individual shower and full size bath and comes with a Kitchenette providing microwave, frying pan, toaster, crockery and cutlery. A CD/cassette player is available. The Bayview allows for direct access to the garden via its own patio area containing garden furniture and a gas BBQ which is solely for the use of the Bayview. Magnificient views of the Bay of Islands looking out towards Okiato, Russell, Paihia and Waitangi are yours to enjoy from the Bayview. The Bayview and Kingfisher can be combined to provide a self contained accommodation unit ideal for four travelling companions to share having a connecting door which can be locked or unlocked but each having their own separate access. Bayview/Kingfisher Patio area, with direct access to the garden. KINGFISHER ROOM - $175 - $185 NZ The Kingfisher has a Queen Size Bed and direct access to the garden via its own patio area which comes complete with patio furniture. The ensuite bathroom provides a large shower whilst the main room offers a fridge, toaster, tea and coffee making facilities and TV/VCR. COMPLIMENTARY CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST PROVIDED DAILY To enable you to relax and have a lie in if you wish, we provide a breakfast basket to your room the night before. Your basket contains the following :- Very generous fresh fruit basket. Choice of spreads and preserves. Your in room refrigerator maintains your breakfast freshness and you are provided with your own toaster, tea and coffee making facilities. We regret we are unable to cater for specific or special dietary needs.

Enjoy your vacation in Northland, in a location that is stunningly beautiful and relaxing. We will make your stay as enjoyable and stress free as possible. The Lodge was built in 2003 and is situated in a quiet cul de sac in the select area of Point Veronica with commanding views over the Bay of Islands. Guest accommodation is on ground level with sea and bush views being enjoyed from all areas of the house. The decks are designed to maximise the views, sunrise and sunsets and ample car parking is provided in the drive leading to the house. A landscaped garden backing onto native bush is provided to relax in and you will have the chance to meet some of our permanent residents around the Lodge, Vernon the Pheasant and his Quail friends. A gas BBQ is provided for the Bayview guests to use, but not to roast Vernon and his friends on! Views from Mako garden for the enjoyment of our guests. After sign on left indicating Russell car ferry stay on main road bearing left at the top of hill. Do not turn right at top of hill to Opua and Car Ferry. Some 300 metres on your right turn into Broadview Road Harrison Reserve. Follow road signs to Point Veronica Drive. Do not turn left into Rosella follow signs to Point Veronica, keep on the road which will take you to the view point. At the sign for the View Point TURN LEFT, Mako Lodge is on your right approx 100 metres from the bend. By Air Take one of the five daily flights from Auckland to Kerikeri Airport the main Bay of Islands Airport.
