It is located at the front of the house and is linked with a private dressing room and three-piece ensuite, which old Ezra didn't get to enjoy. The room is decorated with a queen-sized four poster bed, white Egyptian cotton sheets and traditional wallpaper which embraces a classic style in a red and yellow color palette. A flat screen television, wireless internet connection and writing desk provides the necessary amenities for business travelers as well as those seeking a quiet, romantic getaway. The Rose Suite overlooks our circular driveway. In the Spring our white Magnolia tree treats you to its beauty and in the Summer provides welcomed shade. And, what a charming Juliet balcony to look out from. Rates are $110 per night including taxes. This romantic room decorated in soft blues and yellows is reminiscent of French blue pottery, fields of lavender, the wonderfully blue Mediterranean and warm sunshine. The room is decorated with a queen-sized four poster bed, white Egyptian cotton sheets, duvet and shams in blue and yellow. The comfortable ensuite provides a bathtub for your leisurely enjoyment. Wireless internet connection available for guest use. Rates are $100 per night including taxes. This room is on the lower level of the house and has been newly renovated. It provides alternative accommodation as it is decorated with two single sleigh beds, a writing desk, television and built-in seating. Plump duvets, Egyptian cotton sheets, fresh carpeting and crisp lighting provides comfort and convenience. The four-piece ensuite ensures privacy. The private sitting room is equiped with a flat screen television, sofa and lounge chair. Wireless internet connection available to our guests. The Bordeaux Suite is well-suited to those staying for a five day period or longer. Ezra Annes stands on Wellington Street, an exclusive residential neighbourhood just steps from the Lynde Creek ravine and parklands. Our guests love the peacefulness of our surroundings and enjoy seeing the birds in our garden. Driving from the West. From Highway 401 eastbound, take the Salem Road cut-off (Ajax) and drive North on Salem to Kingston Road (Highway 2.) Turn right (east) and proceed for 5.0 km. (The major intersections you pass through includes Lakeridge Road, White Oaks Drive and McQuay Blvd./Jeffrey Street). Wellington Street is the second street on the left just past Jeffrey Street. The Wellington Street sign is difficult to notice. If you pass a Tim Horton's coffee shop on your right, then you have gone a little too far. (Rather than make a U-turn, continue to Cochrane Street and turn left. Proceed and again take your first left (Gifford Street). Gifford will take you directly to Wellington Street. Turn right. Ezra Annes BB is on the right hand side. Driving from the East. From Highway 401 westbound, take the Brock Street North (Whitby) cut-off. Proceed north on Brock Street for 0.4 km and make a left hand turn at Burns Street. Continue on Burns St. for 0.8 km to Annes Street and make a right hand turn. Proceed for 1.1 km through the intersection marked with signal lights (corner of Annes and Dundas Streets) making a left hand turn at Giffard Street. Giffard Street will take you to Wellington Street. Right hand turn on Wellington. 40 minutes East of downtown Toronto. 2 minutes from downtown Whitby, the GO train and Lake Ontario waterfront. 2.5 Km from the intersection of Highway 401. There's always something new and exciting at Ezra Annes. We study Victorian recipe books as well as the latest trends to create breakfasts that we change daily according to the seasons. There's always a choice of fruit juices, coffees and teas. Then we serve a fruit course with accompanying yogurt and homemade granola. The entree selection is so wide that we ask guests to discuss their choice before retiring for the night. Thin rolled crepes can be filled with fresh fruits or cheeses and served elegantly with a variety of sauces. Our pancakes are never from a package. We make them fresh and fill them with nutritious ingredients. This is a unique but perennial favourite at Ezra Annes. It's a puff pastry delight. A special treat we've served to hundreds of newly-wed couples. This comes in many different versions at Ezra Annes from traditional Quebecois-style oven-baked with caramelized apples or, in summer, stuffed with strawberries and blueberries. Our eggs benedict and florentine sit high on the plate in a wondrous bearnaise sauce. We can do them pure and simple on request also. Yes, we will do a traditional English breakfast but sometimes offer a change with Victorian ham or back bacon with fried apple slices. Omelettes and Frittatas. The variety is endless and always surprising. We love to bake but find most guests prefer to save their fat calories for later. Please let us know the night before if you're lovin' somethin' from the oven.
