Some excerpts from the website of Admiral that might be useful
Admiral Hotel is located in an old warehouse from 1787. Since its construction, the building has been at the centre of amazing events. In 1801, the battle of Copenhagen raged just outside the warehouse windows. It was during this battle that Admiral Lord Nelson put his telescope to his blind eye to avoid seeing his superior’s signal to stop the charge. Today, the hotel is completely refurbished with respect for the original architecture and pine beams. This creates an unforgettable atmosphere where past and present coalesce.
The rustic and maritime ambience permeates the hotel’s 366 rooms and suites, all of which have been adapted to complement the original timber constructions of heavy Pomeranian pine. The solid teak furniture, custom designed for Admiral Hotel in cooperation with Trip Trap, makes the rooms far more than mere bedrooms. All beds are made with allergy-friendly comforters and pillows of the highest quality, and both the box spring and top mattress are specially made for Admiral Hotel. This provides the combined hardness and softness that allow our guests to sleep through the night from the first day. All rooms have wireless broadband Internet access and a sophisticated radio and TV system with video-on-demand. All bathrooms have bathtubs, showers and hairdryers and are tiled in original, terracotta-coloured Italian tiles. 366 deluxe rooms comprising: 9 single rooms, 221 double rooms, 84 twin rooms, 46 junior suites/family rooms, 6 senior suites, Total = 815 beds; 154 of which are no-smoking rooms. Floors 1 – 5 are identical and have massive brick arches in the hallways. The sixth floor consists solely of junior and senior suites.

SALT restaurant focuses on the total experience of food and wine. Our chefs put their heart into preparing both gastronomic classics and innovative new combinations. SALT restaurant
SALT is a modern Nordic restaurant inspired by Europe’s main cuisines. Chef Rasmus Moeller Nielsen makes a point of using the season’s best Danish raw materials. That is why SALT's menu changes with the seasons to allow our guests always to enjoy the unique taste of every season. Every third week, SALT presents a special menu from which the guests can compose their dinners of one, two or three courses. So a visit at SALT is a new experience each time. At SALT restaurant the spirit and history of the place are key ingredients. Large exposed beams frame the ceiling and tell the story of a time when the building was a warehouse, built in the 1780s. The restaurant interior is a modern version of Parisian brasseries. It was designed in close cooperation with the globally renowned restaurant and hotel architects, Comran & Partners. Its rustic, white-washed walls, big mirrors and designer furniture set off the 200 year-old Pomeranian pine beams perfectly. The result is a warm, inviting restaurant of international standard. Just like the food, wine is the centre of attention at SALT. The wines originate from all over the world and their countries of origin are manifest in them.
