Save non-renewable natural resources: Heating system for Hotel Harriniva will be transformed from oil to support also more ecological waste wood heating. - New Kammi restaurant in Jeris is heated with water warmth from the Jerisjarvi lake. Recycle and minimize waste: Waste is recycled in hotels and on wilderness cabins (paper, glass, plastic separated, food waste composted) - No paper dishes used - Washing liquids filtered on cabins - Ecological outdoor toilets on wilderness cabins - On snowmobiles non-leaded gasoline used and non-ashing 2 stroke oil that pollutes less, we change slowly to the use of 4-tackt engined snowmobiles, that pollute less. - The waste management of the Arctic Sled-dog Centre has been planned by the EU sponsored;Kompostori; working group, the waste is composted. Harriniva was actively demonstrating against large scale forrest cuttings planned in north Muonio area in January 2007 and together with Lapland Hotels assured the natural habitat of the forrest by 'renting the forrest' free from cutting for the next 10 years.

Enontekio Information. Welcome to Galdotieva. Fell Center Galdotieva has a unique location above the pine tree line, close to the Norwegian border. You can find it by the main road between Hetta in Finland and Kautokeino in Norway. The nearest airport in Enontekio is only an hours drive away.
