is situated in the Luhju coastal farm, which is one of the oldest known residences in Karjalohja. It is believed there has been a vicarage here as far back as the 16th century. The farm took its current form as a leisure retreat in 1998. Laiskanlinna is a small-sized, peaceful and classy holiday inn and convention place, offering high quality, worry-free living and conferencing premises in the middle of the beautiful Finnish Uusimaa countryside, in a landscape second to none. We bid you a hearty welcome to the Laiskanlinna inn! Click on the photos below to see larger versions: IN THE LEISURE RANCH... you can say goodbye to all your worries, and relax in the middle of beautiful grove scenery in the shore of the crystal clear lake Puujrvi and the ranch's very own salmon pond. You can bathe in the sauna, row a boat, fish, and in the winter, cross-country ski. The sunny meadows and beautiful forests beckon you to ramble, yielding plentiful berries and mushrooms towards the fall. You can cook your own gourmet meals in the well equipped kitchen, or have lunch in the smorgasbord of the spa which is no more than 900 meters away. For your use we have reserved - among other things - rowboats, mountain bikes, an outdoor barbecue, and in the winter, rodel-sleds and a sizable hole in the ice. (yes - try swimming in the lake in winter!). Your kids will also love it in Laiskanlinna. For conferences, family reunions and other group events there is a summer house equipped for all-year-round use for 30+30 people (30 in the outside terrace). you can add to your vacation by visiting the nearby spa and gyms. In the weekends you can also spend a lovely evening in the dance restaurant of the spa. In the town, only a short walk away, you can find all the services you might need, such as a church, shops and stores, banks, pharmacy, a medical center, a gas station, a library and so forth. Also, there are many opportunities for fishing, crayfishing and horse riding. The Laiskanlinna staff is more than happy to give you more information about the in-town services, recreational activities and sightseeing in the local area. IN THE LOCAL AREA... If you feel like driving around lake Lohjanjrvi, do not miss the opportunity to visit the 'Paikkarin Torppa' in Sammatti - the birthplace of a cherished Finnish writer and poet Elias Lnnrot. In Lohja, St. Lauri's Church and the underground mining museum of Tytyri are worth a visit. Onwards from Lohja, you can go on to Alitalo vineyard in Lohjasaari island, and pay a visit to castle Mustio, where you can also dine in a very classy castle-style restaurant. Especially in the summer, the Fiskars town area with its workshops and fine handicraft, and Tammisaari, one of the most beautiful old coastal towns in Finland, are certainly worth visiting.
