Belvedere - the best place to work. The Belvedere fever got me immediately. Already before my interview was over I knew exactly what I wanted: to join the Belvedere team as quickly as possible. Hardly had I started work and already I felt at home, now I also belonged to the family. It was like I had always been there and that was exactly what I had been looking for. The Belvedere is a unique big family. We all work together for you dear guest. For me it is a great delight to have the chance every day to create a moment of enjoyment for you. We don’t see ourselves as employees of an anonymous firm but as hosts and hostesses along with Silvia und Urs Hauser. That is the nice part about it, we are all rowing the same boat. And you give us your acknowledgement with your loyalty by visiting us regularly. The fact that I am still here after 2 years, and that I enjoy the daily challenge of my demanding and interesting job at the reception is largely due to our Power-Team which, working closely together with Silvia und Urs Hauser, creates the foundations of our little establishment. We are all there for another when one has a question or problem. I find that very valuable and comforting. Grindelwald doesn’t only offer the Belvedere. History - First Generation. Johan and Rosa Hauser-Marti (1907-1956). Over 95 years of hospitality In 1904 the foundation stone for Hotel Belvedere was laid and the construction commenced and in 1907 the hotel opened for its first summer season. In 1909 a second wing was added. Between 1939 and 1945 the hotel was taken over by the military and turned into a military hospital. The Hausers were keen on hotel catering and gathered valuable experience during their stays in Egypt and other countries. Hotel Belvedere - 1910
