TAXI?? Upon arrival at Exuma's International Airport, you will be met by one of our Taxi staff (usually Rodney, Willie or Dudley) and taken to your destination. The same driver will return you to the airport for your departure. These services are included in your package, however tipping, if you deem appropriate, is welcome. MEALS?? Your package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner (including service charge). Guests staying at the Lodge who arrive around midday will be having lunch at the Club Peace Plenty. Lunch on fishing days is a box lunch and includes a sandwich, fruit, candy bar, chips, soft drink and water. Breakfast consists of a breakfast bar with cereals, eggs, fruit, fruit juices, coffee/tea, homemade breads, English muffins, bagels and assorted jams and jellies. Dinner is usually soup or salad, entre, dessert and coffee/tea. The lodge has a bar in its restaurant and a self-serve honor bar upstairs in the lodge. CHILDREN?? Although we are a facility primarily for adults, or older children, we have no problem with a group who have taken the whole lodge, bringing smaller children...but please keep in mind, we don't have high chairs, cribs and we do have lots of water surrounding our lodge. CLOTHING?? Casual, casual, casual, you can leave your tuxes at home. In the upstairs lodge, a T-shirt, shorts and sandals are great, when dining in the restaurant, you might want to dress up a little, but it is not required. With the breezes blowing off the water, it can get chilly especially in the winter, so you might need a long sleeve shirt for summers and a sweat shirt in the winter. Of course a bathing suit...or two is a must, along with a hat, sunglasses (polarized are best) and a GOOD sun screen. WEATHER?? The mean average temperature in the winter months will be in the 70's where the average in the summer months will be in the 80's. Wind is more often than not a consideration all year round. The rainy months are normally June - October. The good news, no sleet or snow. Check the Travel Page for Exuma Weather. BUGS?? We would love to deny the fact that we have bugs...but we can't. We do have Mosquitoes and No-See-Ums, but the good news, no black flies. So be prepared and bring some bug repellent. DEPOSITS?? Upon receiving your confirmation you will get full details on what amount is required for your particular reservation and where it is to be sent. CANCELLATION POLICY?? Upon receipt of written cancellation, PP Bonefish Lodge will issue refunds as follows: Sixty (60) or more days prior to arrival, a full refund less $100 per room Thirty (30) to sixty (60) days prior to arrival, a 50% refund...Thirty (30) days or less to arrival...no refund, FINAL PAYMENT?? The balance plus any other expenses incurred during your stay, will be payable at check-out by Visa, MasterCard or cash. Not included in the package are bar charges, equipment rental, tackle purchases, incidentals purchases, taxi tips and guide tips. Any Questions? Ask Magnolia. Phone: 242-345-5555 E-Mail:

Well, here we are, our sixteenth season, seems impossible, but true. We started out at the Club Peace Plenty, while building the Lodge, which we opened in 1995. We've been through one hurricane and a lot of near misses, and just improved each year no matter what Mother Nature has given us. We have made a lot of friends in the past years, who we hope to see for years to come. We appreciate all of you! Speaking of Mother Natureshe did it to us again, but we were a near miss. Plenty of water, lots of flooding, even homes washed off their foundations. Here is a picture of the road right down the street from the lodge with 4-5 feet of water on it (those are vehicle roofs peeking out). The high waters slowed down everyday life on the island with many roads and numerous homes flooded. The airport was closed for a few days and for several more weeks, planes could not land at night due to the damaged lights. All is well now, we are pretty much dried out. No damage to the lodge but it did slow us down a bit. A Great Big Atta Boy to the state of Virginia. In the last several years, we have had Virginians spend over 1000 nights with us. Some from Fredricksburg, Norfolk, Roanoke, Arlington, Virginia Beach, Alexandria and many other smaller towns. We are happy to say that 10% of the guests came from Charlottesville, a small town in the Blue Ridge mountains with a population of 40,000 and 20% of the guests came from the historical Richmond, on the James River with a population of 195,000. Virginians...We Thank You. Left, David Taylor from Charlottesville. Right, Jim Ed from Richmond. Specials: Due to the rumors that we were flooded out by Noel, we are having a slow start of our season so from December 15- January 31, we are offering our guests a 20% discount on our Package rates Call or E-Mail Magnolia for availability. Remember! A passport is now necessary for air travel to the Bahamas. Last but not least, in addition to our Web newsletter which is published several times a year, we have now started a monthly e-mail newsletter that we will e-mail directly to you, so if you would like to receive notification when the lodge publishes its web newsletter, along with the monthly newsletter, please send an e-mail to. and we will gladly put you on our mailing list.

Peace Plenty Bonefish Lodge. Bonefish - Gray Ghost - Albula Vulpes. Fly Tackle: Rods as a rule should be 9 for 7 or 8 weight for bonefish, while you might find a 9 for 9 or 10 weight the perfect choice to rig for permit or barracuda. Reels should carry a minimum of 150 yards to the appropriately weighted fly line. It is also very important that your reel be equipped with a smooth and functional drag system. We recommend a weight forward floating line that is designed to delicately turn over a fly in the sometimes windy conditions found in saltwater fly fishing. Leaders Tippet: We strongly suggest that you purchase a good quality abrasion resistant leader material intended and designed for saltwater use. In terms of length and strength, we recommend as a rule of thumb, 9'-12' in length and 8 lb-12 lb test tippet. Additionally, if you intend to fish for barracuda, you should bring some #2 wire or one of the abrasion proof wire substitutes for use as shock tippet. Fly Patterns would be #4, #6, #8 weighted and without weight, off white, brown, beige, yellow, green and pink, patterns of crazy charlies, puffs, gotchas along with bonefish specials and small acrylic crabs. Spin Tackle: Rods should be a reasonably stiff 7 foot rod balanced for 8 lb to 12 lb test monofilament. Reels should have a smooth drag system and a capacity of 150 + yards. Lures: to oz artificial jigs of varied colors such as the #200 and #156 Millie jig or similar jig in white, pink or chartreuse. Hooks #2. Bait of frozen shrimp is available at the lodge to purchase. Rental rods and reels are available if you don't have your own, fly RR, $20 daily - spin RR, $14 daily. Fly rod reels, flies, jigs, hooks, leaders, tippet material and other assorted fishing tackle are also available for purchase. Guide tips are at your descriptions, however, as a guideline we suggest between $35 - $50 per boat per day. As your guide will probably change daily, we would suggest that guide gratuities be handled on a personal basis at the end of each fishing day. Clothing: Coupled with a good sun block, clothing represents your best protection from the tropical sun, light cotton may not be quick to dry but it is cooler than some of the synthetics. Is is important to bring polarized sunglasses, Sun Block (SPF 15 or better, waterproof), a hat with a wide brim and lightweight rain gear. While most of Exuma's tidal flats are clean white sand, there are areas where it is necessary to wear wading boot. In these situations, we recommend the above the ankle, as opposed to the lower boot.

Although bonefish are the principle quarry of our visitors, there are also opportunities for permit, barracuda, sharks and the occasional tarpon. We suggest that when possible you bring two rods, so that a second rod can be kept ready for the unexpected. The guides are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to assist you as much or as little as you require. They take particular pride in their instructional abilities and can be a great help to the novice or even the experienced flyfisherman looking to tune-up his or her cast. They are all flyfishermen who have participated in a certification program that includes: fly-casting instruction, flytying and knot tying. You will also find them to be sensible environmentalists who place a great importance on the maintenance of their resource. We are quite confident that you will find them to be competent, hardworking and enjoyable companions. John and Martin, his Guide. Luke, Landon, Wilson. Rick with Alston his Guide.
