The never ending day of Lapland's summer makes an extremely strong effect on paddling
trips. Small villages, long river stages and beautiful wilderness is seen when traversing the paddling route. It is advisable to have plenty of time when you are planning on making a
trip, because hurry only spoils the fun. Paddling
trip is a nice way to spend some time with your friends. For these kind of
trips an Indian canoe or a
trip kayak are good choices and also quite easy to handle. It is possible to transport your gear in your canoe/kayak. With both of these water vehicles it is
safe, but exciting to go through some small rapids. When paddling in larger rapids, you and your kayak become a part of the current and the stream brings you to the end of the rapids so you can control your way onwards or to the shore. Canoe
trip on the river Muonio (6km). Guided canoe
trip to the peaceful border river between Finland and Sweden. Expansive views of hills and fells around you in the middle of the nature of Lapland, on the Muonio island, in Lappish tepee village enjoying the campfire made

Trip is also suitable for beginners. Duration 3-5 hours (min.2 persons, max. 40). The same

trip, sleeping on the top of reindeer skins in a Lappish tepee, having a

trip from the river Jeris to Muonio. The route goes along the river Jeris through seven beautiful lakes. There are some small rapids along the route and peaceful wilderness. There are breaks for
trip lunches and for the campfire made
coffee, traditional cakes and sausages. The
trip is suitable for persons who have some experience of paddling. Duration 6-8 hours. Indian canoe (made of fibreglass), 4 canoes -

Outdoor cooking course. We are a small family enterprise in the heart of village Muonio, by the lake Muoniojarvi. Opposite the road there is a beach and a
volleyball field. Come and stay in our COTTAGES: -

meetings and private events. There we will also arrange program for groups. In Spring time there is a
cafe for cross-country skiers. Cross-country
ski tracks start from our backyard and distances for slalom
ski centres vary between 6-60 Km. Experience a canoe
trip to the island in the river Muonio, to experience a Lappish tepee village and sleeping on the reindeer skins beside an open fire. Other possibility is a walking

Breakfast Paddling
trip to Muonio river. The length of the
trip is 6 km on a peaceful, flowing river, where blossoming meadows, pure nature and the dimly visible blue fells on the horizon surround paddlers. There is a
lunch break on an island held by the fire in a Lappish tepee. After the break the
trip continues back to the Lomamaja Pekonen.

trip in Acerbi's footsteps to the Keimiotunturi. On the top of the fell we pause to admire the scenery that gives the most perfect impression of the region. As far as the eye can see there are fells, majestic and blue on the horizon. Below you can see the beautiful lake Jerisjarvi with its many islets. Visiting the historical fishermen's cottages at the Keimioniemi on the shore of lake Jerisjarvi. On our way back we visit reindeer meat
shop Tunturiporo.
Sauna Supper. 3rd Day
Breakfast Trip to Junkirova's lean-to, which lies 10 km from Muonio, on the north side of the fell Olos. It is a short walking from a side road, located by a beautiful little forest pond. By the fire some cooking of fish, meat, bun and
coffee for a
lunch.
Sauna Supper. 4th Day
Breakfast Visiting the old Lapinkartano house and the reindeer museum, where we'll see a slide show about reindeer husbandry, a reindeer enclosure with and having a
coffee at a tepee. The
trip will continue to Pallas-Ounastunturi National Park, where we visit the information
center. There is a possibility for a walk on a 2 km nature trail.

Dinner and getting to know the group. 1st Day
Trip to the Junkirova's lean-to, where we start with a short excursion of terrain and collecting some herbs for
sauna in the next evening. Teaching how to make some dishes with campfire: Bun rolled around a stick, pan bread baking,
grilling fish and potatoes with campfire and making
coffee. Then we will enjoy this
lunch at the lean-to, listening to the mystique of Junkirova. After the
lunch we climb the nature trail of Olos up to the top of the fell and acquaint ourselves with the windmill park, where we can admire the beautiful and vast scenery. After the
trip there is free time.

Dinner. 2nd Day Practising paddling and getting familiar with it. Paddling
trip in the peaceful waterways of river Muoniojoki, where one is surrounded by the fell scenery and beautiful lappish nature. We go ashore in an island and enter a tepee village of four, where we have a relaxing outdoor
lunch lying on reindeer skins. Listening to the nature and the story of the flames. Paddling
trip continues and the 6 km
tour ends in the Lomamaja Pekonen. After the
trip - free time. Herb

MUONIO, THE LAND OF FELLS AND WILD SALMON. The fishing grounds in Muonio have been famous throughout the ages. Since 16th century the fishermen have punted over 250 km upriver to their fishing places. There are fishing areas available for spoon baiting, fly fishing, as well as for salmon fishing. A sightseeing that interests even a fisherman is a
trip to see the old fishing huts of Keimioniemi. Fishing areas in the Muonio region. River Muonionjoki Fish: salmon, trout, grayling, whitefish, pike Fishing by using lures or flies from a rowing boat or casting from the shore. River Jerisjoki Fish: in strong currents grayling, trout, in backwaters perch and pike. Fishing by using lures or flies. Lakes Jerisjarvi and Sarkijarvi Famous fishing lakes with lots of whitefish and vendace. The most common way of fishing is using nets and seines. Fish: whitefish, vendace, pike and perch. Lake Vuontisjarvi - Wilderness lake close to Muonio Fish: trout, pike, perch, bred trout, burbot Fishing by casting from the shore or spoon baiting with a river boat. Lake Keimiojarvi - Wilderness lake Fish: perch, whitefish, trout Fishing by casting a spoon or fly and ice fishing in winter. Time: From June to September Duration: 3-5 h Place: Junkirova's lean-to, close to fell Olos, 10 minutes from Muonio. Departure to Junkirova. Within a small walk distance from a side road there is a lean-to by a small forest pond. First we have a short excursion on Junkirova's craggy and wild terrain. After that we return to the lean-to, make a fire and start preparing terrain meals such as bun rolled around a stick, pan bread, and kaltiainens. In addition we cook fish and meat in a stick. Of course we make some real campfire
coffee. The highlight of the
trip is to taste the delicious achievements by the campfire. Many are surprised how tasty a simple bun or pan bread can be when made in camping conditions. Languages: Finnish, English
