Description of suite: The Shatfords were early settlers of Hubbards, and soon became the merchants and operated the post office. In the 1880's they built 'The Gainsborough Hotel' on the site of our present library. Patrons from all over the Eastern Seaboard flocked to the Hotel during the summer months. The Shatford room has wall to wall windows overlooking beautiful Hubbards Cove. It features a private balcony over the water and a deluxe 4 piece ensuite bath with double jacuzzi.
