Sebelle is originally from Mississippi, and Susan is from California. After traveling together for many years and staying in bed and breakfasts, they decided to look for a bed and breakfast to buy. Upon their retirement from Mount Wachusett Community College in 2004, they began their retirement dream career of operating a bed and breakfast abroad.
