Castellaro Lagusello is a country village with defense walls, it was built in the XII century and was first under the protection of Bishop of Verona (1145) and Common of Verona (1184), later under Scaligeris County and Serenissima Venices Republic (in the 1441). In a sorrounding walls loop, on the lake side, was situated the Guard Captains House, the biggest building in the village. In 1637 the Venices Repubblic sold this no more used fortress. This area was bought by Arrighi Family, who changed it into a mansion. The transformation was made mostly in the 18th and 19th century.
