Our House a little history. The Vue Pointe Hotel was opened in December of 1961. It was designed and built by Michael Gen Osborne assisted by his son Cedric R. Osborne, the present Managing Director. The hotel is located on a 5-acre bluff over looking Old Road Bay Beach and the Belham Valley. From the hotel, there are spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea, the Soufriere Hills Volcano, and the surrounding mountains. Prior to the devastation of Hurricane Hugo in September of 1989, the hotel offered 28 spacious cottages and 12 motel style rooms. During Hugo, the hotel was severely damaged. The roofs over the Main Building and Bar, the Conference Centre, seven cottages and four rooms were all destroyed. By 1994, we had rebuilt all but four rooms.
