As the owners and operators of what is a former coaching inn we look forward to welcoming you to our delightful 16 bedroom hotel which is situated in the centre of the historic village of Aberdour on the north shore of the Firth of Forth river. While Aberdour is in a peaceful and picturesque setting we are easily accessible from Edinburgh (35 minutes by rail or road) , the Superfast Ferry Terminal at Rosyth (20 minutes), the M90 which links Edinburgh to the Scottish Highlands (10 minutes) and Edinburgh Airport (20 minutes).Although our buildings date back to the 17th century, all sixteen bedrooms have en-suite facilities. Two of our bedrooms are at ground floor level in the former courtyard, affording easy wheelchair access from the car park.

Tim and Sam, from taking over the Cedar Inn, wanted to change the offering of the restaurant and improve the quality of the produce but remain family orientated. This means that you can have a lunch menu with the emphasis on light eating, with fresh soup, sandwiches and paninis, an evening menu for all the pub classics, fish n chips, steak pie etc, a weekend menu with the addition of sizzling steaks, fajitas, chicken curry, tempura battered prawns. We source all our produce from local suppliers where possible and Watsons of Leven are our quality butchers supplying us locally with local reared beef from Croftgary Farm, Aberdour. Peartree House Bed and Breakfast in Aberdour, Fife. Closure Notification. Please note that Peartree House is now permanently closed, and we regret any inconvenience. The closure has been caused by irresponsible youth activity in the new play-park next to Peartree House. Although the police have been very responsive to any request for assistance made by those living in the vicinity they have been unable to stop repeated and unmanageable disturbances late at night and through into the early hours. This has resulted in several complaints from our guests and if we are unable to guarantee a disturbance free nights sleep then we are not living up to our obligations.
