Once a homestead of 160 acres Blueberry Hill is 25 acres with knolls of tall spruce trees with spanish moss. Some of the tree trunks are humongous with diameters of over 3 feet, and bushes of blueberry are hidden in the patches of cows parsnip, devils club, fiddlehead ferns, and delicate looking wild strawberries. From our house we watch the eagles soar... We become starry-eyed as we witness the huge salmon swimming upstream to bury their eggs near the mouth of the river stream that opens to the ocean...intent and in rhythm of there life cycle. click on images to enlarge.
