This area is notable for its Gold Rush architecture, fine antique stores, quaint restaurants, specialty shops and the crafts and glass blowing studios of renowned artists. Originally built by a riich sea captain, Harold Paladini, for his bride, the main house dates back to 1854.The captain passed and the widow Paladini operated the property as a boarding house where she later met and married Captain Dillingham.
