Hiking, biking, boating, sightseeing, concerts, galleries, antiquing, lighthouses, and island exploring are all area activities. Captain Isaac Merrill Inn
Two of the Rooms can be joined to make a two-bedroom suite for large families. All Rooms have private baths. Two of the Rooms are named for early Blue Hill ships. Rates vary with time of year, and by Room, as they are all unique. Rates for two, range from $ 125 $175, and include a Full Breakfast, with a Deluxe Breakfast Buffet. The graceful bedroom of Captain Isaac Merrill, on the 2nd floor, overlooks the village. Original, wide pumpkin-pine floor boards, reveal the hand made nails of long ago. The Four Poster, queen-size bed is adorned with a delicate macram canopy. The fireplace remains unchanged from when it was built in 1828, working now with gas logs.
