Effie's Place Bed and Breakfast. Our premier suite, the Denver Suite is named after General James W. Denver, a native of Wilmington. General Denver was the territorial governor of the Kansas territory, and the namesake of Denver, Colorado. This is a large suite that looks out on to the back gardens where you can see the result of Mumsie's hard work and green thumb. The bedroom has a king size, four poster bed, desk for writing and an armoire. The bathroom has a jetted tub for two and separate shower. The tub is surrounded by a unique mural created by a local artisan. Attached is a private solarium that has been converted to a sitting room with live plants and a comfortable love seat that pulls out into a single bed. This room is named after Dr. A. T. Davis.
