We stayed in a beautiful, spotless and most comfortable room. The inn is very close to town but you felt like you were in the middle of the countryside. We stayed for 5 nights and had some fantastic breakfasts, especially the stuffed french toast drizzled in syrup (yummy!) Bob and Heidi were wonderful hosts, this was a real home from home and we would love to stay here again if ever we return to Aiken! Jeff Alice Hagerstown MD. For more information please contact robert@hottensen.com is a stunning antebellum home offering spacious rooms with 15 foot ceilings, extensive millwork, hand-carved pine mantels and heart of pine floors. There are 9 working fireplaces and 5 bedrooms, each with private bath. Common rooms including the Living Room, Bar, Library and new Sunroom, are spacious and bright and the house can easily accomodate 10 or more guests. The formal dining room can comfortably seat 16 for dinner (with room for more!) The architecture demonstrates both Greek Revival style and Italianate influences and evokes the feeling of stepping into the pages of Gone With the Wind.
