The Fern Oaks Cottage is the perfect place to remember just each other. J.H. Lake Charles, LA. Lovely home, great dogs, great EVERYTHING! Please excuse the bullet hole in the headboard. Today we just took off driving from Houston to enjoy a beautiful drive with a brochure in hand of Washington County Bed Breakfast places. This is wonderful country and as we drove up your driveway we knew we wanted to stay here and took a chance that you had a room. What a room! The Davy Crockett Quarters was just so romantic and homey. We actually could SEE stars in the sky. We had a romantic walk in the dark. Back at the quiet, friendliness of Mariposa, the delicious breakfast all added to the enchantment....
